Sabrina & Ashley

Ashley and Sabrina

Hello,

We’re Sabrina Souto and Ashley Ramos. Co Founders and Lead Educators of Fertility As A Way Network (FAWN).

Sabrina and Ashley were first introduced in 2012 at Grant MacEwan University where Sabrina instructed Ashley in her acupressure studies during the Holistic Health Practitioner Program. Over the years they have shared academic and professional environments that sparked many side conversations of their own clinical practice as acupuncturists.

Common topics of discussion include:

  • Effective treatment plans for patient care

  • Patient wellbeing

  • Optimizing time in the treatment room to provide patient education in addition to acupuncture treatments.

Sabrina and Ashley have a combined total of twenty-five years experience as clinical acupuncturists, and additional experience in the wellness industry. Throughout the years the treatment of fertility / infertility was their focus and were sought out by clients, colleagues, and the community to provide care and education.

What makes their view on fertility unique is the approach to the outcome “getting pregnant”. Patients come in wanting to get pregnant, and want to know why it isn’t happening. For Sabrina and Ashley the positive pregnancy test, viable pregnancy, and baby are not the only outcomes that are of importance when working with fertility / infertility.

With fertility there is a chance to have a larger conversation of what factors life consists of, and how each one influences us, ie: how we treat ourselves, relationships with family and friends, lifestyle habits, symptoms in the body, etc.

This is the hidden gem of fertility.

The process along the way.

The insight is invaluable and can be used in more ways than for fertility / infertility.

Want to support your clients’ transformation on their fertility journey?

The fertility acupuncturist who never sought out to treat fertility.

Initially, fertility felt like a big and scary topic. Much like it does for every patient who finds themselves pondering their future of having children, or actively trying to have children and staying hopeful amidst their struggle.

This fear of not being able to help patients who are trying to conceive gradually turned into years of dedication and perseverance to assist clients achieve their dream to have children.

Ashley’s approach to fertility is influenced by the needs of every patient under her care. This has diversified her approach to fertility. Her quality of care is known to include: mental and emotional health, patient care, Traditional Chinese Medicine education, knowledge of western medical fertility treatments, and support through the dread of miscarriage and unsuccessful IUI’s/IVF cycles.

Ashley’s advocacy for clients in their fertility journey has become even stronger after becoming a first time mom herself in 2021.
